KINGSTON WEEKEND > PUBS & BARS
O’NEILL’S has been a staple of Kingston life for as long as any of us can remember. Always friendly, always a good laugh, always a great Friday night out or lazy Sunday lunch.
But we have to be honest – it’s new look was a much needed boost, rejuvenating one of the town’s most-popular venues and restoring its vibe as the place to be when the weekend finally rolls around.
O’Neill’s traditional look has been preserved, but it’s exposed brick decor and wooden floors are complemented by a modern trim, with neon lights and a new video wall, that is exciting and welcoming, lively and comfortable.
And with an expanded range of food and selection of drinks, the new O’Neill’s has hit the mark with the important ingredient: the menu.
Guests can now tuck into freshly made stone-baked pizzas, ‘low and slow’ meat and rib options, and mix & match tapas, including drunken mushrooms, pulled brisket croquettes, and buttermilk boneless chicken pieces.
And the updated drinks menu offers a fine variety of craft beers, ales, and ciders – alongside your traditional Guinness, with which you can never go wrong.
“It’s been fantastic seeing the pub come together,” beamed general manager Nicola Byrne (pictured above). “There have been some big changes and we’re confident they’ll go down well the people of Kingston.
“Our pub is the perfect spot to get together with friends, family or colleagues to relax and unwind over good food amongst a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
“However, we’ve also always been known for live sport, and our brand-new HD Video Wall will really provide a wow factor when watching the big game.”
And it really is a wow factor. If you’re not headed into town for a night out this weekend, we suggest checking out a Chick Norris pizza on Sunday, taking in Spurs and Liverpool at the same time. You won’t regret that extra Guinness, either.
